TOUR ACHIEVEMENTS

There are a number of "congratulations" due to various players (and the team) for recent performances in the UK. These include:

• Belinda Clark - on playing her 50th one day international for Australia in the 3rd game of the Australia v Ireland series and became only the 2nd Australian player to play 50 matches. During the first ODI against England, Belinda became only the 3rd player in history to pass the 2000 run mark in women's ODIs.

• Lisa Keightley - on becoming the first woman to score a century at Lord's. Lisa made 113 not out in the 5th match of the one day series between England and Australia played on 21 July, 1998.

• Cathryn Fitzpatrick - on becoming the first woman to take 5 wickets at Lord's.

• Joanne Broadbent - for becoming the first Australian woman to score 200 in a Test match. Joanne passed the previous highest socre of 193 in the first Test at Guildford.

• Melanie Jones - who scored 131 in the First Test which is the highest score on debut in women's Test cricket.

• The Australian Team - for scoring 6/569 in the first innings of the First Test which passes the previous highest score in one innings in women's Test cricket of 525 set by Australia in India, 1994.
