Cricket in Australia - What's on in 2011/12...
Here's a quick overview of what's happening in women's cricket this season...
Domestic - Women's National Cricket League 2011/12 see also the WNCL Page
The competition will start in late October and end in January around other representative commitments and include six rounds for each team involving a weekend of 1 x one day matches (50 overs). The top two teams at the end of the home and away rounds plays off in the final for the title. NSW has won the title 13 times, with Victoria the only other team to win the title (twice).
The WNCL Twenty20 competition will also be played in conjunction with the one day competition. Each round will consist of a Twenty20 double header. Some matches also played as double-header clashes with the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash. As per the WNCL competition, the top two teams will play off in the final. Last season, Victoria defended their inaugural WNCL Twenty20 title, again defeating NSW
